MMI Anti explosion doors comply with the Hollow Metal Manufacturers Association standards. They are designed according to the ASTM E330 and TM-1300 standards in order to resist pressure from the explosion. NFPA 80 refers to the fire rating standard and other protection for openings.
These doors are ideal for industrial projects, security applications, chemical installations, public buildings, military bases, etc.
They provide resistance to the air/explosion pressure in 3 ranges:
- Lower Range (15 Pounds PSF to 2 Punds PSI)
- Middle Range (3 PSI to 10 PSI)
- High Range (11 PSI to 50 PSI)
Every door is tested to both type of swinging: in swinging and out swinging, the out swinging test is more severe than the interior one.
These doors combine resistance to both explosion and fire.
One must take into account that the anti explosion door structure must have the adequate reinforcements in walls, floors, and tiles with their proper safety specifications.

Speedgates
